The Temple Knows Her: A Morgan and Ravindra Adventure

The Temple Knows Her

A Morgan and Ravindra interactive adventure

Decision 1 of 3
Morgan and Ravindra discover a narrow concealed passage inside the dark Krystor Temple.

The hidden passage

Morgan’s scanner had found an inconsistency behind one of the temple’s carved columns. The stone looked solid, but the readings suggested an empty space beyond it.

A concealed panel shifted beneath Ravindra’s hand, revealing a narrow passage that did not appear on any survey of the Krystor Temple.

No lamps woke to greet them. No machinery stirred. Their hand lights revealed only dust, fallen stone and carvings untouched for centuries.

Morgan tilted her head, listening to something Ravindra could not hear.

“There’s power down there,” she said.
Ravindra studied the dark opening. “Active power?”
“Not exactly.”
“That is not a reassuring answer.”

How should they investigate?

Morgan and Ravindra stand before three possible routes inside the ancient temple.

Three paths

The passage opens into a chamber with three possible routes.

To the left, an arched corridor is covered in ancient symbols. Some are familiar from the upper temple, but others belong to no language Morgan recognises.

Ahead, steps descend towards a faint, regular power pulse.

To the right stands a ceremonial door, sealed from the inside. Its central design resembles an eye surrounded by concentric rings.

Ravindra looked from one route to the next.
“You’re going to tell me the dangerous one is calling to you.”
“They’re all dangerous.”
“That was my second-least-favourite answer.”

Which route should they choose?

An ancient temple system activates around Morgan while Ravindra watches beside her.

Recognition

The route ends in a circular chamber built around a low stone platform. Four dark pillars stand around it, each containing machinery concealed beneath carved stone.

Morgan takes one step into the chamber.

The pillars awaken.

Light spreads across the floor and rises around her in concentric rings. A diagnostic pattern forms in the air, mapping her body, nervous system and something deeper that neither of them can identify.

Ravindra moves closer, but the system does not react to him.

CONTINUITY INTERFACE RECOGNISED
Ravindra’s gaze remained fixed on the projection.
“Do you know what that means?”
“No.”
“Does the temple?”
Morgan watched the pattern changing around her.
“I think it believes it does.”

What should they do?

The temple recognised Morgan.

The question is not only how.

It is what the ancient system believes she is.
